I can’t wait to read your book because there are so many things that I am trying to figure out how to do with my blog (like getting my blogroll of all the students showing) but have not been successful as of yet. Dean, you lean, internet-millions-making machine! You certainly look like you’re on your way at last. The cover looks great, and the content is very useful. Well done x 1000!
I’m getting my blog up today, come hell or high water. I will be needing some hand holding, I’m sure, so I’ll try to politely pick the brains of any fellow students who want to lend me that hand! Just so it’s not all one-sided, I DO have some skills of my own that might be useful — I’ve put up websites before, even have my own internet retail shop (but it doesn’t pay for itself, so, sorry, but I don’t offer marketing tips – yet!), and I have killer writing, editing and proofreading skills which I’m happy to share with those who like their copy to look at least a LITTLE bit polished!
Also just thought I’d mention that Hostgator also offers domain name purchasing – and they even seemed a little cheaper than Godaddy. Haven’t compared them to the other company you mentioned, but getting your domain name with the same company through whom you intend to host your blog would save the step of having to forward the server name info, etc. – which actually takes a couple of months to take effect. You are also only having to pay one company for services instead of two, which is just that little bit easier on the bookkeeping.
Just a thought.
Anyway, back to my congratulations and good wishes! I am surfing in your wake – here’s to both of us moving ahead with renewed energy and enthusiasm!

Right now I’m at a loss as to how to do this, so if you visited any other sites or can recommend any other resources that helped you learn (at least for tips that AREN’T COVERED IN YOUR BOOK) it would be a great help. Rather than re-invent the wheel, I simply used your clear instructions to install Google-Anal-Tics to my blog. Now I’m really itchy. Thanks a lot man!

Hello Dean,
I’m in the Alex Jeffreys coaching class. I have been trying to figure out how to look at the blogs others have set up. Can anyone tell me how to find them?
I’m trying to get blog set up. I appreciated Susan’s note about using hostgator as domain name and hosting company! Thank you to Susan. I have no experience at any of this, and am feeling quite lost (which is hard to admit).
I’d really appreciate all the help anyone can offer. And again, if there are any students of Alex’s course online, how can we connect?

Don’t worry about being “LOST.” We were all lost once – LOL!
Just look at any of the blogrolls on the left or right of the MAIN page (eg here) and click on any link. To get to the MAIN page just keep clicking the LHS button at the top of your browser until you can’t click it any more.
For instance, look for my name underlined in that really long list – Gary Simpson – and then just click on it. Zap. Then you are at my blog page.
Not sure if I answered your question. If I didn’t – sorry.

Great job – really easy to understand. I am one of the laggers, mainly due to shortness of time at the moment. Have registered domain names but can’t decide which one to use. Hope to fail forward this afternoon and get hosting, add Alex’s stuff and then the blog. Do all of these go on one domain name but different pages?

Why not sift through your replies above and below for some testimonials from people who have found specific parts of your e-book helpful. You will see in #14 above that it helped me with Google Analytics which I dubbed, well… something else. Just put the right name in there and hey presto! You have your first testimonial.
All you need to do is get permission off the folks who you ask. I am already giving you MY permission here if you want to use what I said.
If you like this idea then might I suggest you NOT consider unspecific praise for your work. What I mean by that is stuff like… “Hey Dean your book is great!”
Those comments are always nice to get but to append them to a book is useless. I call those sort of testimonials something else – “testicle-monials” coz they are OO’s. Useless.
People need to see SPECIFIC value in Dean’s e-book. Now here is what I will ask you all to do in view of what Dean has done for everyone else…
IT’S PAYBACK TIME FOLKS!
I want you to write a short “testimonial” about how’s Dean’s book has specifically helped you with one thing. Make it about 3 to 4 sentences and make it SPECIFIC – something that he can use. Don’t write a friggin’ novel like I have done here – LOL!
Furthermore, I want to to tell Dean that you pre-AUTHORISE him to use your words in the back of his book, or wherever he wants to use them.
Dean, if you like this idea then you also reciprocate by appending the website name beneath the person’s name as SOCIAL PROOF.
Web 2.0 in ACTION peeps!
Anyway, that is just my brain dump for you Deano. Take it or leave it but if I were you I’d run with it. There is great power in this technique.
Whew! Sorry for the long post. Heh… heh… no I’m not.
Oh, and peeps (gotta lurve that term – I’m using it with humanoids in the skin now, like – “Whassup peeps?”)- Flick over to my site and have a look at my tips on writing. Great work on the first eBook! Very nicely written and contains some very easy to follow steps on getting a blog setup quickly!
Something to consider if you are planning on working on revision 2 or expanding it in any way:
- Suggested plugins to use. Some plugins are virtually essential to your WP blog!
- WP Settings – www vs / and why it matters, permalinks, adding to your ping list, and the other misc settings.
- And much more
I have been working on publishing this type of information in the near future on my blog, however if you would like to expand on this, we can work together if you are interested. Shoot me over an email.
I do not know what Alex has planned, but for those who are interested in configuring their blog one step further, keep an eye out for more information.

Hello Dean, I just read your E-book and i have to say it was impressive. You are well on your way. I am still waiting for my domain name to go live then I will move my blog. Your Book will help a lot of people in the marketing world.
I just set up a email campaine to blast 50,000
triple opt-in Emails to my profit pulling format.
Writing the emails took a lot of time, I watched many videos from Mike Rasmussen.
I have a lot of resale writes software that i will be sharing on my site, well I will talk to you soon, Vince
