    Hi Dean-

Congrats on the re-launch – it’s always heavy lifting to get it back to where you know it **should** be as a marketer.

    A few pieces of feedback:

    1. I find it sad and pathetic that the word “ethical” has to be inserted into your headline. Unfortunately, it is a differentiating factor in the new “Gold Rush” of the internet.
    2. The design is very clean and focused. I’m guessing that you really want people to sign-up for your “Friends of Dean” list, which might be highlighted a little better. Are you testing various concepts?
    3. I was unclear if the “Friends” list differed from the “Blog Sign-up.” Is that the same list?
    4. Lifestyle provides the social proof that you are seemingly successful – either that or have a rich family. LOL. After all, the lifestyle is what you are selling: a lifestyle free of bosses with the autonomy to come and go as you please as an entrepreneur while living the good life.
    5. Coaching – where are you headed with that concept? I know it isn’t complete, but I think you could provide a better picture in the meantime without any actual opportunities.

I look forward to your efforts in the marketplace and teachings. Thanks, of course, for sharing.

And, finally, Happy Birthday! Enjoy it!

    Hi Dean

I was beginning to think you had gone on a permanent holiday but obviously not you’ve been working hard. The blog looks well and I think there must be a touch of the Irish in you with your liking green so much.

I would love to win one of the cameras as I cannot afford to go out and buy one at present. At the moment I am in the process of revising my “How To Create A Video Presentation Using Microsoft PowerPoint” ebook and making videos to go along with it. The new version will be called “How To Create Videos With Microsoft PowerPoint” and will be released once the videos are finished.

I do get some traffic from various sources to my blog but very few conversions to any of the products there, so getting conversions is where I would like some help.

    Hi Dean,

The blog looks great. Unfortunately I am unable to see the video. Thanks to the Great Firewall of China I am blind when it comes to Youtube.

I am just waiting for the day I can go back to the states and enjoy uncensored internet access. Unfortunately with the medical costs over there I don’t know how soon that day will be.

We’re working on getting pregnant via IVF because my wife had a couple failed pregnancies already, so until that plays out were in China.

A nice video camera would make a great way to save the memories while we’re here, though.

Keep up the blogging. It’s good to know there are still some ethical marketers left out there. Sometimes I find it hard to believe all the nasty stuff I see being marketed out there and the nasty methods people will stoop to in order to make a buck.

Hey Dean, I love the new site look … and I’m so pleased I didn’t break it when we were playing with it on Sunday :-)

I’m looking forward to following your posts and seeing how your business grows.

What interests me most is the things that marketers do to create that ‘breakthrough moment’ … when they go from being a ‘regular’ marketer to rocketing their success, just like you have this year.

I’d love as much insight as you can give into the processes which really made things take off for you … what made the difference, when did you see the change taking place, how can other marketers replicate that?

Congratulations on an amazing year and I look forward following your blog.

    All the best, Paul

Well Nice layout Dean! Green Is the best colour in the world hehe :)
it is actually my favorate colour! Question: How do you do all that realy nice graphics? … or is that a trade secret :)

I got into video myself only a short time ago and there is so much to learn, i find that i get to an exeptable level and then level out.

What i would like is to take it to the next level, and then level out lol …. it looks like you have done that, and made a very good job.

Being lucky enough to be one of the winners would be awesome I would beable to sail the world in my Azimut 58 Boat Recording video of all my wildest dreams,:) oh hang on! … I havn’t got a Azimut 58 yet! know ov any compotitions were i can win one…

All the best Dean … I’m sure your sitre will be a great success

    Hi Dean,

I was one of your classmates in the first coaching class Alex did back in the fall of 2008. I’m glad to hear you’re back online and active.

The blog looks great, very nice design and easy to navigate around. It’s super clean looking and I resubscribed to the RSS feed so I can keep up with what you’re doing. I’ve learned a good bit from you in the past. I’d love to win one of the video cameras and it would help me do more with videos which I know would help boost my online efforts greatly!

It’s very generous of you to give away the cameras. With the flood of programs out there today (and new ones coming out daily) on how to get traffic, it’s tough to know which ones are actually worth purchasing. I’ve bought a few of them and learned some good techniques that I’m beginning to use. I’d like to see more helpful information on getting more traffic and primarily from free sources if possible.

Thanks for your help and I look forward to seeing lots of helpful stuff from you in the future! Congrats on a great looking blog!

    Your friend,
    Kevin

Looks nice Dean, very clean look.

I think most new marketers have the questions of how to get more traffic to your site and build your list of subscribers faster, what to sell and how to sell it!!!!!

Then would we sell affiliate products or make your own product?

For us newbies the learning is curve is crazy..and STAYING FOCUSED!!!!!

**How to use ftp, cpanel etc….
not to mention make your own videos with squeeze pages.

    **Most are on limited budgets!!!!!!!!!!

**What Free Tools can be used to get started and what are the costs of
the tools you need to succeed?

**What products to promote to make money/ while learning?

**The what and how to in simple step by step pdf and video
instructions would be a nice way to learn affordable training
Hey maybe LIVE training via go to meeting…

**So what do you think Dean?
Can you give us NEWBIES some Good, affordable, Information, and Training?

You have a GREAT Birthday also!!!

Thanks for letting me post my thoughts!

    See ya in skype,

You know that’s the best way to connect to your readership is by providing them with resourceful and actionable content as frequently as you possible can.

This blogs layout seems easily navigable and relatively clean looking. I’m sure it will evolve over time to become one of the BEST Internet Marketing blogs on the Internet. (And NO… I’m not just saying that because I’d like to win one of the Kodak HD Cameras, I really mean that).

Looking forward to great things to come from you and I’ll be watching your blog for your announcements of various things. Much Success to you in your endeavors.

    Hi Dean,

Blimey, what a transformation.Excellent blog although I have to admit that I forgot what the old one was like.

It’s good news that you’re looking after the newbies. I still class myself as one because I haven’t moved on very far.

As for things that need done, there’s one question I ask. I use Filezilla. When I log on to my server through Filezilla there is public_html folder. I end up having to go to the cpanel. It’s doesnt’t make any odds, does it. It’s just a pain of doing it.

    Once again, great blog.

I still refer back to your coaching modules in MMC as it is an excellent resource.

My problem at the moment is giving decent content to my subscribers. Any tips you can give on that would be appreciated.

    Hello Dean,

My name is Laurie and I have been researching and researching many opportunities online, for ways to start an online business. The problem I am having is, I just don’t trust any of them anymore. I have bought, read, tried and then failed. I have been doing this for about 2 1/2 years now. I do believe that some of the problem is I just cannot afford to pay out a lot of money. Every program I have tried promise all kinds of things, however, when I order the program, I find that there is so much more costs involved.(which they DON’T tell you BEFORE you purchase the program. Ugggg) So, at the current time I am in search again, to find a way to start an online Business, but in “baby steps”, as I don’t have much money to invest all at one time. I don’t mind putting money into something, even the money I make would go back into a business until it became successful enough that I could invest back into it and still have money for myself and my husband.

I really appreciate you allowing us to tell our stories. I think your new site is absolutely wonderful. It is simple in it format, that way it doesn’t confuse some of us.(it not too busy) I am so glad to see you come back. You are one of the very few marketer’s I trust to do the right things by “us” newbies.

If there is anything out there you think I, or any of us, could try, please let us know.

I look forward to seeing more from you in the coming weeks. May God Bless you in All your endeavors. And, glad to see your back.

    Hi Dean,

Firstly HAPPY BIRTHDAY and I love the feel of the blog even though I didn’t see the other one!

As for me, I am a complete newbie and haven’t even got a blog going as yet. I have spent the past 3 months or so looking at all the “opportunities” out there and doing my research. I welcome your invitation for feedback on what I would like from you. From my perspective I need guidance and G.U.I.D.A.N.C.E……..

G = GET started, GET going, GET it off the ground! Yes I am a strong advocate of the phrase “don’t get it perfect, just get it going” and there are many occasions in my life where I stopped procrastinating and just got something going AND THEN perfected it on the fly. So I fully understand your chant on TAKING ACTION as it has to be the main focus for any success. So my request amongst the 101 things to do is what would be the best area for me to start taking action on, what should I GET started with first TODAY?

U = UNIQUE. With hundreds and probably thousands all working in the same areas, just how UNIQUE do I need to be in order to be successful? There are not many niches left that haven’t been explored so what tips can you give to help me portray an overall UNIQUENESS whether it be on my identity, methods or business area?

I = IDENTITY. Should I establish an identity right from the off or can that wait until later? Also tips about INTEGRATING my IDENTITY with areas such as social media like Twitter, Faceboook, MySpace, blogs and domains etc?

D= DRIVE traffic? Is or isn’t that the most important aspect? Different people say different things so what is the best strategy with traffic? Do I focus on paid or free traffic or equality work on both?

A= AFFILIATE. Do I aim to build my new business on being an affiliate or do I need to develop my own products or would you recommend both? I have some ideas for products but can’t imagine that I am the first ever to have thought of them so how should I go about developing and marketing them and offering them to my potential affiliates?

N = NETWORKING. A strategy for networking not only my social media contacts but how do I effectively manage and promote to the email lists I will build? I will capture them through different niches so how do I manage and get the best out of such a varied network?

C = COACH and mentor? I get that feeling that finding the right coach and mentor who suits ME is the key. I guess being CONSISTANT too with that coaching opportunity is paramount as there are SO many distractions coming from SO many “gurus” that my head spins sometimes with all the so called “time-limited opportunities” that are being presented to me? HELP!!!!

E = EVIDENCE. And of course ETHICAL. Of course I would love everything for free but I understand that we are all in this to make money and that I will need to invest in order to prosper. BUT I want as much evidence as I can that what I invest in is both ETHICAL and EFFECTIVE. I would like evidence that if I do follow you, step by step with lots of commitment and determination that what I strive for IS POSSIBLE as long as I work hard at it. I don’t want to work hard at simply lining someone else’s pocket and it looks like that is a big risk in this uncharted on-line world!

Sorry its lots to consider… BUT YOU DID ASK!!!

    Many thanks
    Steve

Thanks for your help last year in getting my blog up and running. I am now teaching several people in my business group how to build their own blog. Your free branded blog setup guide has helped them immensely. I will send them to your new blog so they can get some more tips directly from you.

Now looking for how to arrange my wordpress blog so that first page has titles and synopsis and clicking takes you to the full blog post on a separate page. Right now my first page is really really long with full text for all posts on one page. I must have missed something in your training but I haven’t had a day to go sort that out yet. Hope you will address this sometime. I am sure I am not the only one with this question.

    I appreciate your help

    Hi Dean,

It would be awesome to win a Kodak Zi8! Thanks for the opportunity.

I like the clean, streamlined design of this site. Even better, I like the willingness on your part to teach others what you know about making a living on the net. I would like to see some step-by-step tutorials in response to the following question – Knowing what you know now about the internet, but without benefit of JV partners or money how would you start building a brand new internet business on a small budget? I look forward to learning from you through this site.

    Happy birthday!

    Hey Dean,

I saw you the other day on a testimonial video for Lee McIntyre which reminded me of you.

Good to see you back blogging and i hope that this time it will stick.

Your new blog look is great. Did you have the theme designed for you specifically?

I’d be interested where and for how much.

I have a flip but would really like your giveaway camera. You may have to extend the time though as today is the last day which you meant to be a cut off.

If you decide to extend it I’ll let a few of my friends know.

    Cheers,
    Vance
