First day back at work today, man thats hard work.. Seems like Christmas never happened lol
Did you get back to the grind too or you luckier than me ?? 
Anyway, enough of work … Back to what we all love. So at the beginning of December I set some goals for the month, heres a rememider of them:
Release my first product online - Blog setup guide
Sort problems with my squeeze page - www.ListMachineDean.com
Earn $500 online ( Not that I can because I’m not in anyones book this month ..lol )
Earn $20 recurring monthly income to cover my cost of Aweber
Write further Aweber follow up messages
Continue with Alex Jeffrey’s coaching + implement what I learn
Continue to develop my blog
Learn to put video on my blog
Put more time into traffic generation
Ok, let me take it one by one….
Release my first product online - Blog setup guide
Yes I released my ebook some weeks back. Since then around 500 downloads of it have occured and remains to be requested about 2-8 times a day. Im am overwelmed with the way this has turned out, Thankyou !

With the help of JT Martin I have this up and running smoothly, although I have done no promotion for this apart from include a link in my Warrior forum signature. Thanks JT

Im happy to say that I acheived this goal. In fact I made $1400 from 1 affiliate program, these sales were made both from my blog and from my Free ebook. Heres a screen shot showing my account;

I actually in 1 sense fell a little short on this goal. I have made a monthly recurring income of $11.40 but also did a sale that is a yearly recurring commission of $38.76. I am still very pleased with this, again this came from both my book and my blog.
Write further Aweber follow up messages
I have written just 1 more follow up message. I have neglected this task and must make it a priority this month !! Just goes to show without regular reviewing of your goals some can get missed.
Continue with Alex Jeffrey’s coaching + implement what I learn
Yes this is on-going and I look forward to every session ( Although a little sleep some times would be great !! lol )
Continue to develop my blog

Learn to put video on my blog
I embedded a video on my blog from Youtube. This wasnt as hard as I thought it could be, if you are unsure feel free to ask for my help.
Put more time into traffic generation
I wont make any lame excuses here but I have not done as much as I could on this. For the last 2 weeks of December I did very VERY little, in fact I would say I did nothing at all in the way of traffic generation. A couple of mailings to my list helped but thats about it. I want to work on this more now.
Right there we have it, sorry a little long I know but I like you to know and be able to follow every move I make to help you best I can.
Well 2009 is here and I guess the best thing to do now is look forwards and set some new goals.
Im only gunna give 1 goal for the entire year and thats this.. I aim to make 2009 my last year in a full time job !! Thats the ultimate for me, I think that should be the ultimate for anyone, forget the money.. Go for the freedom
Your gunna just have to wait and watch that one develop my fellow friends..

Ok now for the goals for January, Ive made a decision now on this.. Im not going to give a goal for earniings because this month I am going to put no focus on that at all. If I earn any I will tell you in the next review but I have no goal to earn this month.
Here they are;
Totally overhaul my blog, Im gunna change the theme, get it customised and make it Sweeeeeet
Learn to record myself and add the video to the internet. This is using my new gadget - my minicamcorder
Continue with coaching
Learn more value so I can offer more help to my visitors and write some high value posts
Grow my RSS feed subscribers to over 100
Hold a competetion here on my blog with prizes to win for you, my visitors
Write more follow up emails in Aweber
Work on traffic generation
Finish building my web pages for my ebook - Download page / Thankyou page leading to list building platform
And thats that !!
Phewww, I got my work cut out this month huh !!

Hi Dean,
I don’t know about anyone else but having you just that little bit ahead is great, you’re like that little dangling carrot to tempt us foward more and more!
I completely agree with not putting an earnings target for this month. Hey it might happen but I am concentrating on learning and implementing what I have learnt.
I haven’t sat done yet and done a proper monthly goal but I know I want to add some good giveaways to the blog, Dad’s got some on his computer but we haven’t got round sharing it yet. Unfortunately Dad is ill at the moment with shingles so its a bit hard for him to do much but hopefully this week I will get the stuff from him.
Anyway well done for getting those goals down in writting.

Right on man.
Looks like you’re doing really well, and like Becky said, it’s great having you just that little bit ahead of us to guide and motivate us.
In fact, one of my goals this month is to research and write my first ebook to launch.
Aside from that, my main goal really is to start driving traffic! Because I’ve been woefully lacking in this department so far.
I’d also like to learn more about making videos - I’ve just read Nigel Yip’s ebook about it. Would you say it’s necessary to get a minicamcorder if you want to record yourself? - wondering what the cheapest option is for now

Glad to see that you’re plowing through your goals. Things have slowed down for me a bit over the holidays, but I’m now back and ready to continue on the path that I was on just 2 weeks prior to Christmas.
I’m very interested in making a video and have heard that the flip mino hd is a good tool for this purpose. I’ve been talking so much about this video thing that I just have to take the plunge and do it.
I’m going to reaffirm my goals over at my blog and get to implementing them. I’m with you, this will be my last year working for someone else.

I know you are working on getting a Student Blogroll up and running. It’s a big undertaking to keep it maintained with everyone included.
You may be interested in the changes I’ve just implemented on my site to manage the issue. I’m planning on getting a video up later in the week showing what widgets I’ve used and how I’ve managed to implement it. It’s not has complicated as it looks !!

I have started to use pingomatic,but I like http://www.autopinger.com much better because it provide real time stats of whether or not the ping is working. I am also learning to use tweetlater with twitter.

Well done matey, that’s absolutely fantastic.
You deserve everything you get this year and I’m sure you’re gonna get a lot of success.
You are an inspiration to us all.
My goal this month is to try and drive traffic to my blog and my new website that I built over the Christmas period (yes I’m a sado that had to do some work - I’m addicted)
I built this website and managed for the first time ever to use the $7 Script - it’s fantastic - not only now can I promote the website but anyone can now become an affiliate and sell the package I have on offer and receive 50% commission - and they don’t even have to have a website, buy hosting or a domain - I thought it was gonna be damn hard to set up but it was so simple.
Take a look on over at my blog, you’ll see details of my new site and details of how to install $7 script easily.
Lets all keep up the spirits at this time of the year with the recession, and help each other as much as we can.

You’re doing a sterling job Dean, and a nice little round-up of how December has been for you. But then, I also like the sound of your plan set out for January.
If you’ve visited my blog, then you’ll probably grasp that I’m pretty much a huge fan of WordPress. So it’ll be nice to see what you’re going to do in regards to giving it a face-lift! The only piece of advice I’d offer you, is don’t go too mad with it. While you might really like this new theme you’ve changed too, are your blog readers really going to like it?… To be honest, sometimes you just have to take that risk.
Plus I’m highly awaiting this video I hear you talking about! As a few told me, just GO FOR IT! - The longer you wait, then the more you’ll put it off.
When I created my first video, the feedback from it was great. Lots of new things to take into consideration for the next video I make, and the more I make the easier it’s going to get!

I found it easier than getting my mouse to work !

Congrats on your success in December, $1400 is a very tidy sum to have made already. Did that all come from Alex’s product or was there other affiliate product sales you made?
I’ve been working mainly on traffic generation, but plan to redesign my blog too and get working on an ebook this month.

This is too strange..I also have been writing out my goals and even mentioned on my blog how I’m organizing all of this.
I definitely believe the ultimate for us all would be able to walk away from a boss and a job!
I would appreciate it if you would take a look at my blog and give you advice..
I am having trouble with adding images to my sidebar…I got one up only because I was given the html.code to upload..
I simply wanted to add Alex’s image of the Profit pulling platform and I can’t figure it out??? Can you guide me in the right direction?

I only have one link so far but plan on doing more. Been so hard at it just tryin to get the foundations together on the Blog and working up some social stuff that I’ve neglected content a bit.
Gotta switch to another gear!
Thanks for that and I also followed your lead to sign up for the kickstart course. If it has just part of the value Alex’s course offers it will be well worth it as it seems to compliment the flow of what we are all doing.

It’s helping me to track info such as I verified the link, left comment, they commented at mine, a twitter pal, 500, facebook, special notes, etc.

i see you have already got a list of goals thats great stuff, as to the job thing i must admit that is prob more important than any money to some people.
Ive given up work forever now working for a boss, i still do the odd day here and there with a good friend of mine but its cool as were mates so its a lot more fun
i look forward to waiting for you to announce that you have fired your boss lol (you never know it might even be a lot sooner than u think)
ive shown how im going to earn $50,000 this year on my blog. When you actually break it down it seems a lot more achievable and reachable.
Oh and lea burke - as to the pic prob u said about i actually inserted a pic in my aweber box above the form and just re-aligned it so its centre to the box.
thats how i did it as i had a few probs trying to insert pics aswell in my side bar as i think my template is restricted somehow
Oh and last thing, ive been using tinypic.com to host my pics if any of u are having probs with them

i know what you mean about the boss situation!! i def know what you mean about having a boss that you hate lol ive had many of them over the years. i left my last proper job last may 2008 and since then ive made it my mission to do as well as i possibly can online so that i dont ever have to go bk to a boss

oh and ive got a super cool tool that i started using and you are going to love dean, its for my blog i started using it about 2 weeks ago and it actually shows you exactly where people click on your pages so u can find all your (hot areas of your blog) i will be making a video on this within the next 2 weeks but i need to get a good amount of data gathered first. Its a cool tool though and i will def be adding it to my (cool tools)
anyway keep up the good work, oh and we have alex`s call tonight so im really looking forward to that it seems ages since our last call
i think i had better get a few hours sleep b4 though as we all know that the calls are usually marathin calls lol but i dont mind its all great fun!! my ears usually become a bit numb after about 2 hours with my head phones on so i think i may have to have some prior ear exercise lol

Great work. Havent’ had a chance to visit many blogs in the last few weeks, so Gonna start now to visit everyone and say hi :). .
Anyways, great post on your Goals. Like the fact that you aren’t putting any figures on your goal for January, and just focus on creating value on your website and products. That is definitely a good long term plan :).
Thats Definitely been what I’ve been focusing on. creating content and making my site user friendly , but boy does that take time
