Do You Want To Make Money Online?

By Dean On November 5, 2010 Under Affiliate Marketing, Make Money Online, Mindset, Self Development

Welcome Back To Dean Holland Dot Com... Be Sure To Look Around And Get Involved In The Discussions Going On!

It’s a crying shame, it really is. However before I continue I need to tell you right now, I myself was a severe victim of what I’m about to discuss with you.

I want you to also prepare yourself, I say this for your own good – You may have to make a SERIOUS change in yourself after reading this blog post if you REALLY want to make money online and more importantly build a solid lifelong business.

There’s a very big reason I managed to blow around $60,000 on credit cards and bank loans and get myself in financial ruin with near bankruptcy prior to succeeding online.

You see for some time I researched and saw those big bold claims of people making life changing sums of cash in a very short period of time.

You’ve seen those sales pages right?

They promise the earth yet once you’ve invested your hard earned cash you’re left nowhere but confused with zero results to show for it. It was believing I could buy a product and achieve huge success in just weeks that got me in serious debt.

The problem is, they’re so damn convincing don’t you think? Heck even now I buy these things because I’m truly intrigued as to what they actually reveal.

But you see there’s another issue, sales pages that reveal very little about what the product / system actually is. Sure from a marketers point of view it’s very effective, but in my personal opinion for all the wrong reasons.

So what’s the point here?

I’m going to put this as simple as I can, you may find this to be a little blunt…

You need to realise you’re being sold a dream and in fact you’re buying right into it!

These highly effective sales pages that offer rapid success don’t actually mean that, it takes

    WORK

(And lots of it)

In my own personal opinion and in fact that of many others, I achieved rapid online success. It wasn’t over night though, or even a few weeks. However to go from being close to bankrupt to then quitting my job and making multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars online in around 2 years to me is insane.

My entire life has changed; the life of my family members around me has changed. It just took real work and commitment, of course I had to be shown what to do but the fact is I put in the effort and I did it.

So here’s the point, if you REALLY want to make money online, and I mean REALLY want to do it then believe me when I say you can do it!

There’s a process, you need to learn marketing and how to do it. Once you learn these basics slowly and surely over time as you continue to take action and put in the work you will develop newer and broader skills.

Skills and knowledge that open up new avenues, paths that lead to bigger and better success.

Make that decision RIGHT NOW today, do you want to continue to throw cash at ‘the dream’ or do you want to put in some effort for a few months to change your entire life?

Make a choice, and make it for all the right reasons. Have a real good think, why do you want this? Are you willing to put in the effort to learn and implement?

I sure hope so, the lifestyle your own internet business can bring you is just incredible. You just need to do it the right way, with the right guidance.

When you leave your comment below, let me know your decision. I look forward to reading it :)

Thanks again to everyone that continues to click that little Facebook ‘LIKE’ button on my posts, ( You know who you are! ) I really appreciate you sharing my content so I can help more people with my experiences.

To your success

Dean

P.S – To those that have spotted and mentioned the few minor errors here on my blog ( Twitter link + Banners ) – Thank you, I am working to fix these currently.

    Hey Dean,

I got a real kick out of reading this just now because I was just finishing up my coaching program, and make it a point to teach my students that you don’t have to be sleazy in your sales letter and you absolutely have to tell them what the product is and what it’s all about.

I used to be that guy buying into the “dream”, but once I finally started to get it, I started to read these sales letters out there, and I get a real kick out of seeing just how good these letters are at making you think their product is the “magic bullet”, but in fact you cannot figure out what the hell it is… and you have to “trust” them if you want even know what it is, lol.

Good stuff Dean, I like your style!

I have been trying for years to make money online. I am one of those that get taken each time. At this point I am so confused about what to do. I am more then willing to work a year or what ever it takes to make money online. I am looking for some one that knows how to do and willing to show me.
    Thanks

Yes, I think we have all been suckers at one time or another. I know I have the word “sucker” tatooed to my forehead. They seem to see me coming a mile away. But I still hold out hope that someone will show me how to do it right and not leave me scratching my head. I liked your article and plan on reading more. Thank you.

    Hi Dean

Thank you for being my mentor. You showed up at the perfect time. Yes about your post…My first post on my website TrevaStrom.com speaks of how I have all this IM stuff I didn’t even know what they’re for….. Who does that? Who actually buys things they don’t know what it’s for? Big old me thats who. There’s nothing even pretty about the stuff…but you’re right it was my dream for a much bigger, better life.

I feel like this business can be a big puzzle designed to shake off the lighthearted. It’s good to have that larger than normal dream because the hurdles can be crazy sometimes. I have an example of something that just happened a few days ago; I had purchased a great IM product for a good price (really cheap) and never received the product even after emailing several times “Please where is my product?” Finally I received instead FREE GIFTS by the person who didn’t send me my download….so I chose one and when I went to unzip the files of the ebooks he sent WOW he sent trojan infected downloads! It cured me. I’m over it now.

Ok Dean see you in the members area!

Love this post. In my articles I refer to the “guru” sites as “shiny things,” and I advise people to stay away from them. I am glad that I found your site, and I look forward to reading more of you material.

    Hi Dean,

Attended your webinar this evening and I think you well and truly gave me a kick up the backside…..great stuff, thank you so much!

I have most things set up but my biggest problem is planning and taking action, having to work this IM business around a full-time job. I know deep down I was allowing my lack of action to take hold, so I needed a good shake! So a new year and a new me are about to materialise from now on!!

Do you want to know what’s worse than being sold a dream? Paying $194.00 for it and not even getting it. I listened to the replay of the webinar you did with David Chamberland and decided to purchase your offer (paid through PayPal; Transaction ID: 0TH94481U3517694W). I then signed up for the “Platinum VIP” upsell (paid through PayPal as well; Transaction ID: 4D635819YW829012N). I got e-mailed confirmation links for both purchases and when I click on them the bring me to a page that welcoms me by name but says “Page Not Found” when I click on any of the links at the top of the page I get the same results. Both payments are confirmed on my PayPal account as well. I e-mailed bpaplatinummem@aweber.com
on Dec. 24th and got a reply from David on Dec. 26th telling me that the site was hacked (made me feel very nervous!) and he was working on fixing it and beefing up security and it would be up shortly. I sent him a follow-up reply which was returned by MAILER DAEMON as being undeliverable. I then tried e-mailing you at the only address I could find for you (support@deanholland.com), and have not received a response.
First no product that was paid for
Then a site that I supplied financial and personal information to was hacked
Then the e-mail address is suddenly gone
Is this what you call “Ethical Marketing”?
I appreciate your prompt attention to this problem.
Please say something that will make me feel better about this mess!

    Hi Richard…Comment #8

I have this to say to you about Dean and as a former student of his.

Don’t be worried about getting and learning about the stuff you have paid for.

Dean is a really good standup guy,,I learned a hell of a lot from him.

If the site has been hacked then Dean and David will get it sorted and believe me when I say he will not only deliver but he will over deliver, specially to compensate for your troubles.
It’s unfortunate…but these things do happen..look at what happened to Randy Smith just recently.

Anyway if you’re in need of some quick cash while you’re waiting for Dean to sort you out …have a look at this…and NO…it’s not an affiliate link…in fact I have no tie into it at all…I just know the guy is a marvel…(Andy Duncan) http://netslingers.com/updates/your-first-sale-online/
Let me know what you think.

It’s not really that I doubted Dean, but I really didn’t know the involvement or amount of involvement he might have had in this. I’m somewhat of a “newbie” and don’t really know the who’s who in these circles but I sensed that Dean was a fairly legit guy that’s why I made the purchase. The part that created the doubts was that considering the level of problems there was little or no contacts or updates about what was going on. Initially there was only one response to an e-mail I sent to David indicating that he just saw the problem. I was happy to hear back from him but then for two more days I heard nothing and still couldn’t access the site. The real tipping point was when a follow-up e-mail that I sent to David was returned as undeliverable. I suddenly got the impression that the Gypsies were folding up their tents in the middle of the night and moving on to the next city. Now without a way of communicating with David the only channel available to me was to post it here and hope for some sort of response or new contact info. As you said, anyone can experience problems but timely communications and keeping people “in the loop” are crucial in minimizing customers’ anxiety.

    Hey Richard.

I hear you and know the doubts that you have…
we’ve all been there …We hear this kind of thing going on all the time.

I can only reiterate that I know Dean will come through for you.

You’ve done the right thing by coming on here …
I can understand your frustration with the lack of contact and your wanting to start the New Year off on the right foot.

Have you tried raising Dean via Skype..??

Has anyone else reading these comments got any input..!!

I can imagine that when a site goes down it’s a question of priorities…

    What do you fix first.

Let me know how you get on.

    Regards.

    Malcolm.

  12. Richard,

I feel your pain and frustration as this has happened to me as well with another product. I can be frustrating because you feel like you trusted this person. With Dean, I don’ t think this is the case. Sometimes when you promote someone else’s product, you have little control on the outcome. In addition, many IM’s are so busy getting involved in many projects, it could take days (or even weeks) before they respond. While this is frustrating, in the end, you will be taken care of. You online reputation as an Internet marketer is everything. Dean is a good guy and he WILL get around to you – hang in there!!

Things have been fixed and all is right with the world! As I said I never mistrusted Dean. My trust in Dean was what prompted me to buy the program in the first place. What I didn’t understand was why it took my e-mail to David to alert him that a program that he had launched with a 90 minute webinar that had about 800 attendees. As I said I’m a newbie but I would think that the owner of such a site would be the first to know that there was a problem and should take immediate steps to not only correct the problem but more importantly notify the people that purchased it of the situation. I felt confident that it would be resolved until the e-mail that I sent to David was returned as undeliverable. That’s when the fear set in. After that happened I felt the only way I could re-establish communications regarding this situation was to come here. Thanks for all you understanding and support. “See you on the other side” :-)

So glad to hear all is now good …Just in time for the ” New Year “.

All it takes is a bit of communication Buddy. So now you are ready to start taking action…coz that is the key..!!

Waiting to see your Blog up there and hear good things from you :-)

    All the Best.

    Malcolm.

  15. That’s great Richard! I am glad it worked out!!!

My issue still has not, so I will be writing a not-so-good review on my blog in the next couple days.

This person has had more than enough chances to refund my money. It has been weeks! I have been nice and patient. I told the person I will be posting a not-so-good blog post if I don’t hear back by the 1st.

With all the “honest reviews” on the internet, sometimes you have to look out for other IM’ers and provide a truly HONEST review with NO affiliate links.

Stay tuned! Happy New Year – take the time to enjoy it!!

    Hey Dean,

I made that decision just under 2 years ago now. OK, i have my down days but 9 out of 10 I am totally dedicated to building a successful online business. Made my first sale just the other day but boy have i had to work hard to get it. I only really started to see results once i had gone and got myself a mentor. I’m now in the good hands of Alex, a previous mentor of yours I believe :) So maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

    Hi Dean,
I want to thank you for your straight talking atitude, I’ve just signed up for your commision takeover training. I started out mid 2010 with Alex J. but I got a little lost due to a bereavement within the family. Information overload took over. I tried to take a few short cuts and bought into the quick fix systems being peddled out there (Big Mistake)!!!
Now I’m getting back on track and I am looking to you for inspiration. I’ve watched your quick growth and I know you can show me the way. I’m ready for the hard slog ahead of me, and I can’t wait to market alongside someone with your fine reputation.
    To the future,

    Hi There Dean,
I have been trying to supplement my salary by getting involved with online business of some sort. It’s amazing that due to the times we live in we are all looking to make ends meet, some to earn huge bucks and other to earn a few dollars that would make there life a little easier. There are 000′s of email flying all around the world trying to sell the dream of riches as has been said in other comments on your Blog. How do you sort through the lies, the con’s, the rip-offs and try to deal with those that are honest in the business?? Just type ininternet business into Google and you get 762,000,000 hits.
Dean, I am willing to follow your lead, give the time and the effort to see how it goes and hopefully you are one of those blokes out there who are willing and willing to help us battlers. The comments above seem to indicate that you know your stuff.
(you have got to be an allright bloke with a name like Dean)

I have been going through this phase now. Although I have got so many products and videos in my hard drive none of them seem to show me how actual money is made online. Or it is the lack of motivation and action which is holding me back from starting to earn money online. I have now come to the conclusion that online business is no different than that of the physical business. It requires work and loads of it. But when succeeded it sure does change a lot of things in our life.
