How you doing my friend ??
Exciting times right now, got my new desktop ( Which by the way has had SO many delays, needed new modem.. Virgin sent one out, then had no ethernet cable !! Had to get one now Virgin are activating it so be live later Whhaaaahoooo )
Anyway where was I… Oh yeah exciting time ! So my new product - Blog Traffic is just days away from release., be sure to grab your free copy !!
Right the point of this post is not only do I want your help but I think your input could help many others…. So Im just starting to properly get into Twitter again now all the dust from my personal bad times is settling and I know from looking around that there are plenty of free tools to use with Twitter
But heres the thing…. I dont know of them !!
Ive seen people say things like ‘Tweetdeck’ or blog posts with little ‘ReTweet’ buttons next to them…. And yeah you guessed it, I wanna learn about this stuff !
So I call on all of you to share what you now in the Twitter department…. Any Twitter tools you use and what they are used for and while we are all here sharing why not tell us any tips or tricks for using Twitter ?!
Lets get a real ‘Bank’ of Twitter advice packed into here….

Ok, tweetdeck is a cool tool, i use it alot.. it’s basically a twitter client, some software which you download and install on your computer so that you can use twitter to keep an eye on things alot more easily, check it out here http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/
Anotther really cool tool i have been using to flush my non followers every couple days is twitter karma. It allows you to bulk unfollow peeps that are not following you, then you can follow more peeps, because your only allowed to follow a certain number of peeps at one time. Its an online tool, you can find it here http://dossy.org/twitter/karma/
Theres also some other cool tools on there you could try.
They are the only things which i use at the minute, and i have used it to grow my followers to nearly 3k in a couple weeks, really powerful stuff.

There’s just one drawback in that you’ve got to sign up but like I said it’s free.
It’s to pick up a free plugin for your Blog and it could bring loads of traffic.

Yeah- I agree with Dan on the Tweet Deck - it’s a great free application and has helped me a lot. I use it ALL the time!
There is another free one called Destroy Twitter, and an application on the iPhone called Twitterfon that I use as well.
TweetLater is a great free way to auto-follow people who follow you.
And there is a new free twitter software called http://www.tweetelitepro.com that is pretty cool too.
I’ve had a great response using twitter lately - enjoy!

Hi Dean
I use Tweet Later to auto reply to new followers.
I also less friends which I found by doing a search on google,
it is a programme which shows you those you are following
who follow you back, those you follow who do not follow you
back and those who follow you and you are not following.
I found that Twitter Karma would not work if you had more than
1,000 following or followers.
I also use Twitter Tools to post my latest tweets onto my blog
and also make a tweet when I publish a new post on my blog.
I hope these are of use to you.

Can’t wit for your new product Dean, and i’m buying a new pc in a few days too and it’s a workhourse, lol.
I mainly use twitter to post links to interest content that I find,
people like the content and click over to my twitter profile which links to my exteral *about me* page.
I get about 12 or more new followers per day, and many of them join one or more of my mailing lists from the links provided on my about me page.
I haven’t bothered much with software, so i can’t really recommend a favorite yet, but i’d like to share 2 links that might be of interest to persons reading this post…

Hi Dean
I find TweetDeck really useful as it means that with three columns it is easy to follow ‘All Friends’, ‘Replies’ and ‘Direct Messages’. They can all be seen at the same time and it makes it easy to see if someone replied to you even if it is several hours after the tweet before you log in again.
You can also search for people and catch up on their tweets too. The beep to let you know when they send the next batch of tweets (every minute) can be annoying, but you can always turn off the sound!

Like everyone so far Tweet Deck is my fav. I have just recently began to aggressively build my following on Twitter and have added over 1000 followers in about 2 weeks.

I definitely agree with the tweetdeck recommendation, it means you can follow thousands of people and still focus on the tweets from the users you find important.

But first thanks to you all that have submitted some advice already !!
It seems TweetDeck is something I am missing out on using so I’ll be sure to get that
So you may notice something new looking about my blog posts…
The ‘ReTweet’ button !!
Yes you guessed it at the click of a button you can retweet my blog posts to your Twitter followers if you feel it offers benefit or is simply something you want to share…
Great feature I believe to have on your blog !
Heres how to get it….
Its actually just a Wordpress plugin that you install into your cPanel then as usual you must activate it in your WP admin area.

I just noticed the button only seem to be visible when you look at the posts from the home page ? ? !!
Will look into this and let you all know, seems to me like it would be a good idea to have it on the actual posts also

Update on our new twitter software.
