By Dean On November 24, 2008 Under Where It All Started

Welcome Back To Dean Holland Dot Com... Be Sure To Look Around And Get Involved In The Discussions Going On!

Hey all

So you ok ? Just 1 more day to wait for those lucky ones like myself that have gotten into Alex Jeffrey’s coaching program ! Im so excited :)

Right so I want to put something to you all and get some responses. If you see my first ever blog post, you will see exactly where Im at in my life and more importantly where I want to be

Just to recap that though, this is me right now;

  • Im 24 years old
  • I work full time in the construction industry, 10 + hours a day
  • I answer to a boss and take orders
  • I have spent over a year trying to make money online ( made nothing until this week )
  • Wasted too much money on ‘get rich quick’ ebooks and programs
  • I have to watch carefully what I spend money on ( no luxeries )

Crap right ?!  Yes but thats my life right now…

So where do I want to be …..

  • Working at home on my computer ( I dont care for being lazy though, I love doing this )
  • Being my own boss
  • Actually being productive in my business
  • Not having to watch my money closely
  • Be in a position to buy anything I want ( Nice house, cars etc.. )

Those are just to name a few, note these are not dreams any more… These are goals, goals I WILL reach

So what am I asking you ? ? ?

Well I want to know where you are right now and where you want to be in your life. The reason for me asking is I know that many of you have managed to secure a place in Alex’s coaching program so I thought it would be nice to hear all your stories too before we actually start this life changing journey

And to those that didnt get in the coaching ( I think you can get in for a couple more hours or so if you wish) please also go ahead and tell me your thoughts.

Remember anyone that visits here is going to benefit from my experiences and I am still going to show you what I do every step of the way !

If you do wanna rush to see if you can still get in the limited coaching go here quick – Coaching Program !!!

Right, so now its your turn…. What’s your thoughts

Go Go Go ….

Peace

Dean ;)

    Hi Dean,

    Here’s my story…

    Where I am right now:

    * I’m 46 years old
    * I was previously a Mortgage Loan Processor and have been unemployed for the past year.
    * I have custody of my 2 year old grandson, I’m the only person he has right now to count on to take care of him and provide for him.
    * I have a beautiful daughter struggling with a serious on-going drug addiction
    * I have spent over a year trying to make money online – I made approx. $30.00 total.
    * Spent way too much money on ‘get rich quick’ e-books and programs that got me nowhere
    * I am dangerously behind on my rent & car payments
    * I am over-tired (up until 3 or 4am. trying to make money online, then up at 7 or 8am. with my grandson), and over-stressed (worrying about how to pay the bills).

    Where I want I be:

    * Working from home on my computer, which I’ve become addicted to – I love learning all there is to learn about building a home business (I am just lost in a maze of too much information)
    * Being my own boss
    * Actually building a successful business (I will keep working on my business-like Dean I’m not lazy and couldn’t just not continue building)
    * Being able to provide for my grandson and being able to spend more quality time with him
    * Not having to worry about how I’m going to pay the bills.
    * Less stress so I have the time and money to enjoy life (worked very hard at my previous job, made good money but very rarely took a day off! And now the stress of having no money.)
    * Spend a lot of quality time with my grandson and be able to attend all of his school functions, take him to see new places, etc.. (when he’s a little older of course)
    * Be in a position to buy anything I want without worrying about how much I’m spending, travel, buy a house, pay back money that I owe, help others less fortunate (ie..charities, children, family, friends, and people who want to start a home business of their own)
    * The list could go on and on…

I can’t wait until tomorrow – this is so exciting! It’ll be great working with everyone in the coaching program and experiencing how much all of our lives will change!

    Lori

    Hi Dean

I too, have signed up on Alex’s coaching program, after following him for the past couple of months. I have been very impressed with his vision and dedication in wanting to help people to succeed online.

Well done on your recent earnings. It’s something I have been trying to achieve for over a year (very much like yourself) but so far with no success. Hopefully this coaching course will change things for the better!

So, as for my story, well….

    * 36 years old (and feeling it!)
    * married with 2 gorgeous girls
    * work full time 10-12 hours a day 5 days a week
    * spent over a year trying (and failing) to make money online
    * and, like you, have spent way too much money on e-books etc, trying to chase “the dream”
    * and yes, money is too tight to mention!!

But hey! that’s all going to change….Right?

    what I’m looking for is…

    * to escape from this never-ending routine of getting up, going to work, home, bed, and then up for work again….day after day!
    * to have a successful home-based business, which I can call my own!
    * to be financially secure
    * be able to spend real quality time with my family
    * and a holiday abroad once (or twice) a year would be great…I love the sun…but never see it, cos I live in the UK!!

Well, there you have it! My life as it is now… and, in the future!! (I’m being positive)

I’m looking forward to this new journey, with hope, anticipation, and excitement.

    Keep in touch

    Steve

    Dean:

I’ve just joined Alex Jeffrey’s coaching program – must admit I’m holding tightly to my receipt, in case I need to use it. I’m one of those people who have searched, slaved and spent (both time and money) to create a business I could work on my own terms, and I am still smoking from all the burns I’ve endured. But as much as anyone promising Internet income can be trusted, Alex sounds like he might be on the up and up. So good luck to both of us with this course, eh?

I’ve bookmarked your blog and will be following it to see your progress. Maybe I can consider you, like, a lab partner! Anyway, you sound enthusiastic and ready for doors to start opening, so I hope that’s how it works out for you.

    Me, in brief:
    • Living on unemployment in Silicon Valley (next to impossible), which means…
    • I have 6 months left before that runs out to make enough money to replace at least that amount (more would be better!), which means…
    • I can’t waste any more time trying to get interviews that don’t materialize (for jobs I don’t really want anyway), which means…
    • I will be paying close attention to Alex and trying to build an income online after 4 years of false starts, fake gurus, and feeble funding.

So, here’s to success for both of us!

    Susan

    Hiya Dean.
Well what more can I say that’s not already been said in the responses above.

And which I can fully agree with.

Although I am not on Alex’s coaching course I am and have been on a coaching course very similar to the one you are very soon to embark upon.

I don’t know if you have heard of Michael Cheney and his “The Golden Thread” program.

Alex will have heard of him !! I am about a month into his coaching program and the things I have learned so far are absolutely outstanding, but like yourself and the other members of your course, that have earned little or less so far, but I know that I will, and you will too, and my dreams and aspirations will come true.

I wont say too much about myself at the moment as I want to start my blog as you have done and be completely honest and open about my progress and accomplishments, but what I will say is and my advice would be for anybody contemplating getting into this business – - Internet Marketing – - Nothing comes free – - as in all walks of life, you have to pay your dues, even if, like we all have done before – - we spend are money on E books and such and wonder if it has all been in vain and then one day it all starts to click into place. You pay for your education.

My advice to anyone starting out would be to find a Mentor, Alex found one,his Mentor had one, and so on down the line.

I would dearly love to be on this course with you and the other members, and I wish you all, “The Best of Luck”

    Malcolm.t.a (Alan) Mckinnell.

    Hi all,

Great to see all your comments !!

I erge as many of you as possible to respond to this post with your story.

This is my intention for it – read the post, see where Im at and where I want to be. That is my online declaration to you all and to myself.

Then you do the same, put where you are and where you want to be.

Then you can come back here and never lose sight of the direction you want to head.

It should be very useful to us all, tell me where you want to be then you cant let me down !! :)

    Ok…

@Mildred … Hey, yes it is very VERY exciting ! To actually see results for the first time ever is the best feeling. Alex has done that for me and he will do it for you too, just work hard at it ( I am putting in some serious long hours to make it work )

Mildred come and put your story down here, it will keep you focused on your goals

Best of luck Mildred, I know you can do it !!

I look forward to seeing your story.. Keep in touch

    @ Lori… Welcome back, thankyou !

GREAT !! Thats just perfect, does it feel good ?

Just look, you have told the world where you are right now and you have made it clear where you want to be right ?!

So now do it ! There is nothing from stopping you.. We have the mentor, so as long as you are prepared to work hard to acheive your goals you are going to do it Lori.. We all are, just dont expect it to be handed to you on a plate :)

@ Sham … Welcome, thanks for your comment. So it starts today ! Yeeeaahhh !! Cant wait.

I think we all get sold the dream at some point, its what we do when we come to our senses that matters ! I dont know about you but Im ready for this.. Soooo ready, Im working so hard to make this work right now and Im not going to stop until it does BIG TIME !

Keep in touch here Sham, good things are going to happen :)

@ Steve … Hey bro.. I cant get over how much you sound like me and my situation !

You have to be positive Steve, After meeting Alex Jeffreys recently it just proved to me that you have to think positive to act positive ! Hope that makes sense lol

    As I have said many times though, we have to work hard, real hard to become successful. Just look what I have done for the last month or so;

Set off for work at 6am, get home about 6pm, have some dinner, then straight on the computer for at least 3-4 hours. Then I gotta walk my dog for at least an hour, so I dont think I have seen more than 5 hours sleep a night for over a month !

But just look what Im acheiving ! I am putting a new post up later today that shows exactly what I have earned in the last week.. Trust me, it is all worth it ;)

Just wait and see my screen shots bro !

Keep in touch, together we will succeed

Oh yeah, a bit of sun wouldnt go a miss in England eh !

@ Susan… Thanks for the comment Susan, thats FANTASTIC that you have done this.. thankyou

Just wait till my new screen shots go up on this blog later, you will see what is possible working alongside Alex. Remember I had nothing 4 weeks ago ! all it has taken is hard work and daily action

I tell you there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Thats perfect !! YES YES YES.. Please do consider me as a partner, ALL OF YOU consider me a partner. That is what I am doing here, lets get together, help each other and all become successful.

Just 1 thing, tell me your future goals, you have said where you are now but it will be good to put down what you want to achieve so you can keep focus.

I hope Susan with you having your receipt in your hand you arnt lining yourself up to fail already !! Be positive, I am living proof that Alex can help us.. Just be prepared to work hard and you will do it, please dont give up

    Good luck

    @ Asta … Heelloooooo !!

Thankyou for joining in here, great to hear my friend. So you ready for hard work Asta and the success that will follow ?

I am and Im ready to work with you to make sure we all do it :)

Let me know where your at right now and what goals you have

I saw you on Alex’s video. You will do it and I love Alex’s passion, because I believe when we help others the rest follows.
I wonder where are the mentors for others not promoting online marketing products and services?
I want to email Alex directly with my question.
    Can you help me?

    Hey Dean;

Firstly, thanks. Your blog got me off my bum and encouraged me to set up a blog I’ve been meaning to do for ages. My first post is on there now :)

    Where have I come from?

1996 – 2004 A modicum of success. I co-founded a VPS web hosting company and later on a software company developing for ISP’s.

The first company sold and myself and the other directors did ok. The second went into liquidation and cost everyone a pretty penny.

2001 – 2005 some overlap. Man, don’t like saying this but otherwise not much makes sense. Intense drug addiction.

Since 2005 I’ve been in ‘recovery’, enjoying a better way of life in my personal relationshsips and how I view the world in general.

I’ve tried eBay – importing from China etc but it got boring and I barely scraped by. I hooked into Jim Edwards in early 2007 and that started me on the Internet marketing trail.

In that time I’ve learned a shed load but like most folks I’ve yet to make good money.

I know I’ll be successful, have done since the early 90′s and and have utter confidence that I can get there.

My main turnaround was about three weeks ago when i realised I wasn’t going to do it on my own and needed some guidance. A short while later Frank Haywood (few days back) made a post on his blog about Alex’s coaching program so I sat back, watched the video and joined up straight away.

And here I am. My belief system has changed recently and I know the cheque’s already signed and posted. I expect it. It’s coming and that’s a huge relief. Most of all, this belief has allowed me to shift my focus and stop chasing the dream (away).

I’m pretty content as it is. A decent amount of money will help me move forward in life and realise a LOT of goals. Most importantly tho’, good health and excellent relationships with friends and family.

    Looking forward to tonight!

    Austin.

    ** NOTE FROM DEAN **
Susan, hopefully you are ok and things are getting sorted. There were some technical issues and all of Alex’s sites went down… Not a good situation but these things happen. Make sure to catch up on the missed session when it goes into the members area soon. Take care

    Hi Dean,
I took the plunge yesterday to join in the ranks of Alex’ mentor program. What sold me on this is the idea that it is a mentor program and not just another ebook.
As for were I’m at now in my life and my online business. Here it goes. I have a full time job in the telecommunications industry and I am dying to replace that income with the one that I WILL ATTAIN from my online business. I’ve been at this pretty seriously for the past 3 months and I have a burning desire to make this work. My goals are not very different from the rest of you. I want to earn more money to create a better life for myself and my family. This includes more free time, taking more vacations and being my own boss.
I’ve taken your lead, and I registered a domain and hosting for my personal blog that will chronicle my learning from the very beginning.
great, just got into the webinar…yeah

I am also in the coaching program and as you know after the first session it appears we are embarking on an incredible journey. My story is as follows: I am 58 and in the health professions. I have toyed with the idea for some time of developing some type of program which would permit me to earn an income without being tied to a particular work location. The recent economic downturns have made it obvious that i need to become independent of my present work environment. Having checked out a number of sales pages I felt that if I ws going to do anything but bounce from one “newest best deal” to the next I should find some clear direction through the “hype”. I stumbled accross Alex’s program it it seemed to meet my goals of starting from scratch and building something the right way. Time will tell but I feel that I am on the right path. I am a huge believer of the saying “when the student is ready to learn, the teacher will appear” and I feel that this is the case with me finding our coaching program.

    Hi Dean,

Sorry seem to have posted my comment twice. Think what has confused me is that I noticed my earlier post is saying “Your comment is awaiting moderation” which has not happened before so I thought I didn’t do something correctly, hence the re-post so sorry for that.

Interestingly, some comments posted after mine don’t have this status and have been posted immediately so what’s happening? Just thought I’d bring it to your attention :-)

    Hi Dean,

Thanks for your reply to me on your previous post. Did you have a good weekend? I had Mon & Tues off so have been enjoying a really long weekend thinking about how good my life is going to be once I’ve taken positive constructive action!

Thought I’d answer your questions as well:

    ~ I’m 27
~ I work full time as an office manager, which I do enjoy, but…(and of course there’s always a but!) – I don’t feel like I add any value here. It doesn’t keep me motivated any more, and I feel I could be doing something more valuable with my time.
~ I’m constantly at the mercy of other people’s needs, it’s a small office so I perform most functions here which leaves me rushing around being ineffective. This is completely demoralising!
~ I’ve been dabbling in the online business idea for a while. reading up on things, getting sucked in by hype, refusing to buy the ‘latest fad’ as I live right at my overdraft and credit card limit (though I have to admit to buying a few things!)
~ Currently ridiculously financially constrained, and fed up with it!
~ Just feeling undervalued and overused (which isn’t the fault of my current employer, it’s my own fault for being in this situation!)

So…more importantly – where do I want to be? (Polite civilised answers of course!)

~ Working from whereever I choose on my computer (be it home, a friend’s house, my parents’ house)
~ Working WHENEVER I choose – while I can’t really be in the office at 11pm (although it has been known), I can work online whenever is most convenient to me, even if it’s in the middle of the night!
~ Knowing that the great results I’m seeing are the direct result of my hard work & my support network (yep, that’s some of you reading this!)
~ Being an outright success in my own right, not someone’s employee
~ Taking full responsibility for my future, rather than leaving it in the hands of others
~ Being financially independent to the point that I can also help my friends and family, those closest to me.

Sounds pretty cool when you write it all down like this!!

Thanks Dean for giving us this opportunity to actually think about it and more importantly, get it all written down for others to see!

    Take care,

    Nikki

    Dean,
I did it! I got my blog up. It’s not on my own site yet as I have no idea how to do that :P but I took a step! I invite everyone to visit, feel free to leave comments and suggestions. The layout isn’t what I want it to be, but I’ll learn. Site is kyramichaels.blogspot.com. I chose to use a psuedonym for my business because I already have a reputation in my professional life. I hope no one minds.

    In response to your challenge:
    Where I am–
-working in academia (which is sometimes great, but sometimes horrible)
-work about 60 hours per week
-no time or money for vacations
    -debt up to my eyeballs
    -renting a house
    -health issues because of stress

    Where I’m going–
    -completely out of debt
    -own a house
-I want to take exotic vacations
-want to be able to CHOOSE whether or not to continue working in academia and not work so many hours
-I have a great desire to help others through donating to charities, setting up my own charities, as well as teaching others how to build their own businesses

I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see what we all do.

    Hi Dean,

I was in on last night’s class as well and am happy to hear of your success. I must say that I am sooooo confused right now. I don’t have the slightest clue on where to start. First of all I don’t know what a blog is and what it would to for me. Once I have it up…what do I do with it? I paid big bucks to a learning center(who’s name I won’t mention) to teach me how to build a website and start my online business and am not getting anywhere with that because I have no computer technical skills and not too satisfied with their services.

I am so so new to this and am so willing to learn but I will need all the HELP I can get.

I can’t wait for next session, in the meantime I have a lot of reading to do and questions answered..LOL

    Again….congrats on your success

    Sue

    Hi Dean

I was fortunate to get in on the webinar, and it was great listening to your story.
I am UK based like you and Alex of course.
Having been on the internet for a few years now but needless to say without much success due to being bogged down with all the fluff thats available so Alex’s coaching course is a dream come true in as much as feeling confident that I will become successful.
I have a themed blog on WordPress http://wrathoflichking.info

    Talk to you soon Dean

    Hey Dean,
Sorry about not being able to post on our blog, Garry brought this to my attention this morning, it was unintentional! I have sorted it out now so if you get the chance we would love your comment!
If you could point us in the right direction of putting our blog to our own domain would be soooo grateful.
    Cheers

    Hi Dean,
I missed the early part of the webinar were I see that you had a chance to speak. For some reason I couldn’t get in until it was about an hour into it. Sorry I missed it though, but I expect all of us in this program to get to know each other pretty well. After some trial and error I’ve got my blog up. It doesn’t have all the features that I want on it yet, but it’s coming along. I’d love it if you’d all check it out and post a comment about yourselves over there as well.
    Thanks
    Anthony

    Hi Dean

I have just spent some of the morning reading through this blog and what great information it contains!

I have also subscribed to Alex Jeffreys mentoring course and I managed to stay up for the first 2 hours making loads of notes. At that point though I had to go to sleep and was rather tired yesterday. However I did wake up singing ‘I’m so excited’ to myself! I’m just waiting for Alex’s technical problems to sort themselves out so that I can catch up on what I missed. I hope that he will do some earlier webinars to suit the many of us who are in the UK as with a family to look after 11pm is rather late for me to concentrate!!

I gave up a job I disliked last Thursday, spent Friday looking for a workable system and found Alex on Sunday. My next job is to set up my blog now that I have found some information on how to do it. I have run my own business before so I know the work that it entails but I’m determined to do this for me, my family, my health and my sanity – and of course to meet lots of like minded people.

I’m looking forward to taking this ride with you all and I’ll let you know when my blog is up and running.

    Take care

    Hilary

    Dean,

I’m following your lead ! Brand new to Alex’
coaching program and jumping in the deep end.
Putting my first blog out there & still learning the nuances & trying to get the blog site running right.
    But, at least I’m doing something..ANYTHING !
    (:>)
Glad to hear you’re doing great things with your
    venture.

    Regards

    Dan

    this is me right now…

    - I’m 30 years old, gorgeous wife, 3 amazing kids
    - I work full time in the banking industry, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week(several shifts)
    - I answer to a boss and take orders(but my boss is real nice, lol)
    - I have spent over 3 years trying to make money online ( I made sales right out the gate and actually earn residual monthly income now)
    - I bought a lot of good ebooks and programs from the very best gurus only
    - I have to watch carefully what I spend money on ( a few luxeries )

and where I want to be…

    - Working at home on my computer creating lots of projects( I dont care for being lazy though, I love doing this )
    - Being my own boss and earning at least $5,000 per month on autopilot(online and offline)
    - I have so many great projects, i’d like to get em going then sell them to persons hoping to break free
    - Not having to watch my money closely
    - Be in a position to buy anything I want ( build my dream home )
    - last but not least, take my wife on our long overdue honeymoon, lol.

*my primary goal is to earn $5,000 per month by the end of 2009,
hopefully save a down payment for a home, and take my wife on a honey
moon cruise, oh and most importantly – not employed without a choice.
